Stepping Stones Through A Yoga Journey By Kelly

So we are learning which positions compress the spinal cord and which poses make space. After 7 classes, we are really in a good groove and building towards more opening in the dorsal, neck, and hip sockets. Stephanie has lived in Pune for about 16 years and she is extremely talented. She wants me to work with her instead of Lois so I receive fresh teachings. Linda and George are also working with me and we have a great time together laughing and learning from each other. Dr. Naik, who is Lois's doctor has diagnosed me with Anklosing Spondylitis.
300, what a deal! And, Dr. Naik did not even charge me to see him! This condition is usually debilitating because the spinal bones start to fuse together and press on the spinal cord. Since I have been doing Yoga for 15 years, I am able to function very well. If I had not been practicing, I would have trouble even walking.
This is a motivator to keep up a long and strong daily practice. Very thankful for my body telling me all these years what it needed. Through Yoga, I have learned how to heal myself step by step while listening to the body's intuition. Many thanks to Lois who has guided me to learn therapy skills. So far, 11 days without Migraine medication! I have not been able to make it past a week in a long time!
It can be easy to get stuck in a rut when you are in the nursing career. If you are not working in an upbeat environment with a variety of cases you may start to feel like you are stuck doing the same procedures day in and day out. While there are many nurses that enjoy specializing and doing the same thing every day, it can also get very boring.
You want to make sure that you have enough variety in your day to enable you to stay engaged and interested in your job. Often times nurses will find themselves looking for a more stimulating job. Taking the time to find the job that will help you enjoy the time that you are spending at work will make a big difference in your life.
There are a lot of people that do not understand how to make any type of transition in their career. You should understand what your options are and how you are going to take advantage of those options if you can. First, you want to make sure that you are taking the time to explore what you really enjoy. You do not want to leave your current career just to find that you are frustrated with your new career or bored with what you are doing.
There are a lot of people that find themselves having a difficult time really exploring what they love. A great way to start this process is to do research on what is being done in different fields and what issues the nurses have to deal with. Often times, you will have to make sure that you are taking the time to understand what role you would play in the current atmosphere.
Observing nurses in their career in understanding how to go about making a change will be very important. If you can talk with nurses that are currently working where you want to work, you will be able to understand their take on the profession. You may have idealized a situation that you may not enjoy as much as you thought you would. Getting a few different opinions from the nurses will help you make your decision.
When you find that there is a common theme with the nurses you will talk to, you should take the time to pay attention to these themes. If one individual says that they are frustrated with something it could just be a personality difference. When a large group of people start to show a trend with something they are frustrated with you will want to pay more attention to it. When you are getting restless in the area that you are working you may want to take the time to find a traveling nursing job.
