I've Made Two Sets So Far

I finally get this blog up and running, then I neglect it for weeks at a time. I don't really have too many excuses besides things getting a little crazy at work and home because of broken cars, then going home to visit family and friends for the holidays. I do have two exciting pieces of news though! I'm working on a tutorial on how to make your own polo wraps. I've made two sets so far, and have plenty of fleece for more. I should have that up soon.

Matt proposed early Christmas morning and I said yes! We haven't set an official date yet, but we're looking at this summer. I'll do my best to keep this from turning into a wedding-planning blog, but if I find some really awesome DIY money-saving projects, I might have to share them anyway.

Anyone else agree this is a winning idea, Hopefully Food Network or Travel Channel will be on to me soon to set this up! Milkshakes occasionally star, or at least make an appearance in movies and TV shows. Some of the famous ones, or at least ones I know about are listed below.

Unfortunately, I suspect that in the world of product placement, milkshakes will be less prevalent as it is hard to brand a homemade banana milkshake. Most likely sodas will be the beverage of choice, as their marketing budgets allow them to pay to be shown. Can't you imagine how good these could be, Take a wedge/slice/hunk of one of those, chuck it in a blender - add ice-cream and milk and whizz away. I can guarantee you will be amazed at the results. The depth of flavor will translate well to a milkshake and before you know it, you will be getting tons of compliments from your guests. So, let us join together and plead the case for milkshakes all year round, particularly as part of your holiday traditions.
