How To Make Friends As An Adult,

Kind of embarrassing but I'm almost 30 and realized I don't have hardly any friends. Throughout college I had plenty of friends but after we graduated I moved to another state. I've been here about 6 years and went to grad school here. My best friend from college moved to the same city but recently she's become so flaky. She never wants to do anything or go anywhere so a lot of the things I want to do I have no one to go with. I have anothe friend here but we only see each other every so often and I feel weird always hitting her up to do stuff.

I am a professional but I'm not tight with a lot of women in my profession and feel weird randomly just saying "hey you want to hang out" to someone I just kind of know in passing. I don't have a boyfriend or a guy I'm talking to which is a whole other issue in itself. The guys in my profession are all jerks and full of themselves and I have no interest in them. I sometimes go out to bars and places and still don't meet any guys. I refuse to do online dating. I really want to go to the Xscape concert in a few months and I'm about to just buy a ticket and go by myself bc of course my best friend doesn't want to go.

I'm an only child so I've always kind of been used to doing stuff on my own but it sucks not having a group of friends to do stuff with since I'ce become older. I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert where I'm not the type to just make a lot of friends naturally. Any ideas on how to make friends as an adult, I also want to go to Xscape's concert, but my BFF isn't interested. If you're in Chicago, we can go together. You could try finding and engaging in a hobby that requires interacting with others.
