There are four ways to share videos on Twitter:
Record: You can record, edit and share videos from the Twitter app (Twitter for iPhone or Twitter for Android OS 4.1 and higher).
Import: If you use the Twitter for iPhone or iPad app, you can import videos from your device.

It doesn't seem that long ago that people would use Vine for their videos, and share them via Twitter. Since Twitter launched its own video upload facility , however, Vine's use has diminished considerably.
Of course, the one issue with using Twitter to host your videos is that Twitter is limited to videos of a maximum of 30 seconds in length, or 512MB - whichever comes first. This means you're not able to upload longer videos, or better quality videos. By using Twitter Ads, you can upload videos of up to 10 minutes in length, with an unlimited file size - although Twitter does recommend you don't go over 1GB.
You don't want to have pay Twitter to host your videos. Press it, and choose a video file from your computer to upload. Depending on the size of the video, it may take some time to upload and, once it has uploaded, it has not been shared on Twitter but simply uploaded to your account. Today, Twitter announced a beta test of new Promoted Video ad units. Twitter has been experimenting with these new ads for the past few months, with tests showing Tweets containing native Twitter video generate better engagement and more video views.
In addition to uploading and distributing native video on Twitter, advertisers will also be able to measure the reach and effectiveness of their video content.
